This food hygiene course is ideal for anyone working in the catering or hospitality industry, or those about to start work in the industry. The course will cover the following modules;
Hazards and controls
Food safety management and temperature controls
Food poisoning control
Cleaning and disinfection
The role of the food handler in keeping food safe.
There are no subject specific pre-requisites and the qualification is suitable for learners aged 14 years and over. It is recommended that learners have a minimum of level 1 in English and maths, or equivalent.
Course length and cost
This food hygiene course is run over two evening sessions lasting three hours each session, with an examination at the end. The course costs £59.00 per learner, which includes the exam and the certificate. Further discounts are available if ten or more places are purchased at the same time.
The food hygiene certificate awarded on successful completion is the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (RQF).
